Musket Ball Murder: A Dana De Witte Mystery

No profanity, no explicit sexual content, no graphic violence.

Dempsey Royce was dead, and he wasn't supposed to be. Or was he?

The small North Carolina town of Meadesdeal welcomes tourists each year to its Patriots Day Celebration. A highlight of the event is a Revolutionary War reenactment of the execution of a local man by a Tory firing squad. Local townspeople play parts in the drama, and the weapons are set up to create a lot of noise and smoke, but not hurt anyone. But this year, things don't go as planned. The man playing the part of the condemned patriot is killed with a musket ball.

Dana De Witte, true-crime writer, returns in the second installment of the Dana De Witte Mystery series. Join her and the other residents of Meadesdeal as she works to find the truth of the death of Dempsey Royce.

Musket Ball Murder
is a stand-alone mystery and can be read and enjoyed on its own. However, it does contain characters, spoilers, and references to the previous book, If He'd Never Seen.

If He'd Never Seen: A Dana De Witte Mystery

No profanity, no explicit sexual content, no graphic violence.

A lonely road…a foggy night…a woman trying to move forward…

A troubled young man, who tried desperately to right the wrongs of his past and bring the truth to light.

A death. Murder? Accident?

Dana De Witte wants more than anything to find a cold case that would be a good subject for her first true crime book.

She recently moved to a small, picturesque town to help in her aunt’s flower shop and focus on her writing.

As the town celebrates the retirement of its beloved football coach, she takes up the investigation into a troubled young man’s death by drug overdose. Even after ten years, his parents have refused to accept the findings of the official investigation.

As she digs deeper, she uncovers secrets that were thought to be buried with him. The more she learns, the more she realizes the answers she needs are not in the past but in the present.

Dana De Witte, the aspiring true crime writer, will see that all truths are heard.
