Musket Ball Murder: A Dana De Witte Mystery

Dempsey Royce was dead, and he wasn't supposed to be. Or was he?

The small North Carolina town of Meadesdeal welcomes tourists each year to its Patriots Day Celebration. A highlight of the event is a Revolutionary War reenactment of the execution of a local man by a Tory firing squad. Local townspeople play parts in the drama, and the weapons are set up to create a lot of noise and smoke, but not hurt anyone. But this year, things don't go as planned. The man playing the part of the condemned patriot is killed with a musket ball.

Dana De Witte, true-crime writer, returns in the second installment of the Dana De Witte Mystery series. Join her and the other residents of Meadesdeal as she works to find the truth of the death of Dempsey Royce.

Musket Ball Murder
is a stand-alone mystery and can be read and enjoyed on its own. However, it does contain characters, spoilers, and references to the previous book, If He'd Never Seen.
